on Responsible Investment

A quarterly gathering on environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors in investment.
Sponsored by the Social Investment Organization for pension plan members of the SIO.
This series of events explores best practices in the area of responsible investment for Canadian pension plans.
Staff, trustees, consultants and associates of SIO pension member organizations are welcome.
Most events will be held 12 noon to 1:30 pm ET.
All events will be in webinar format.
Some will also have the option to attend in person at the office of the hosting member.
This is a cumulative knowledge series. It is recommended that participants attend each session to build on knowledge gained in the previous sessions. The sessions will feature short presentations from industry thought leaders with ample time for discussion and exchange of information and ideas.

Objective: To create a better understanding of how ESG factors contribute to performance on a sectoral basis.
What are the key ESG issues for each of the sectors in the Global Industry Classification Standard? What are the sector-specific issues that need to be included in portfolio analysis?
