SIO-member companies Mackenzie Financial and The Ethical Funds Company won awards at the prestigious Canadian Investment Awards, which recognize excellence in the Canadian investment industry.

For the fourth year in a row, The Ethical Funds Company won the Socially Responsible Investment Fund Award for its Ethical Special Equity Fund.

The award was given for the fund's financial performance and industry leadership.  The Ethical Special Equity Fund was also recognized with the Canadian Small/Mid Cap Equity Fund Award, alongside IA Clarington Investments.

Mackenzie Financial Corp. won the IFIC Investor Education Award for its educational initiative aimed at improving Canadians' understanding of socially responsible investing.  Judges applauded the winner for separating educational content from product information.
