Jantzi Research Inc. has won the 2006 Capital Markets Award for Sustainable Investment & Banking at the GLOBE Awards for Environmental Excellence.

The Capital Markets Award is based on “an explicit recognition that financial markets are increasingly integrating environment factors into investment and banking decisions, and are placing more capital into sustainable technologies and ventures,” states the Globe Foundation, sponsors of the awards and organizers of the Globe Conference.

The GLOBE Awards dinner was held on March 31 as the closing gala for Globe 2006. The Globe Awards are considered the most recognized and respected national awards of their kind. They are presented to companies and industry groups that balance competitive business strategies and sustainable development.

Jantzi Research Inc. is an independent investment research firm that evaluates and monitors the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance of securities.

The other finalists in this aware were Innovest Strategic Value Advisors and Mercer Investment Consulting. All three finalists in this category are members of the Social Investment Organization.
