I work with my clients to create an investment strategy based on asset allocation. Asset allocation means including various investment styles and asset classes in your portfolio in order to minimize the effects of market volatility and enhance potential return. Simply put, it means making sure that all your eggs are not in one basket.  Once we have designed an asset allocation based on your investment personality, your financial goals and time horizon and your risk tolerance, we look at selecting individual investments for you.

With respect to socially responsible investing, I focus on companies that are environmentally responsible, and those which demonstrate a commitment to people. Such commitment may be evidenced in areas such as harmonious labour relations, community involvement, charitable donations and recognition of international human rights issues. I also seek out companies which are women friendly. Using research from a variety of sources, I can work with you to direct your investment dollars to companies that are not only financially sound but reflective of your social values.

As a Certified Financial Planner, I provide comprehensive investment and financial planning advice, including risk management through life and disability insurance. Many of my clients take a holistic approach to their investments, integrating personal and moral criteria into their financial decisions. Maximizing your returns within the context of a socially responsible portfolio is the challenge that faces you as an investor. I am committed to meeting that challenge with you.

Sucheta is an investment advisor and associate portfolio manager at Hampton Securities Ltd. She has an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School and is qualified as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). Sucheta is also a graduate of the Canadian Securities Institute’s Professional Financial Planning Program, a Certified Investment Manager (CIM) and a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI). She sits on the Boards of the East End Community Health Centre, the Social Investment Organization and Straight Goods.
