My practice is legal and business advice with respect to corporate and tax issues, in particular those relating to investments in private companies, and estate planning for private investors.  As a former President of SIO, I have for many years been sensitive to the needs of socially responsible investors and their investee companies.

For investors, I can guide them in their due dilligence, and set up efficient structures to make their private company investments.  Having done hundreds of private company investment deals, I know what to look for.

For companies, my advice can add the voice of experience, helping management make decisions with confidence.  Much of my work has been for companies with environmental technologies, including such things as solid state lighting, advanced batteries, solar and wind technologies, etc.  My firm's specialized legal services product, LaunchPad, represents a huge step forward in allowing technology startups to be set up professionally from the start, without breaking the bank in the process.

My practice is focused on Ontario (Toronto, Ottawa, Windsor, Niagara in particular), but I represent a number of clients across Canada and internationally as well.
